It’s official, Contemporary Art Month (CAM) is here and we couldn’t have asked for better weather! Join us this Saturday, March 7th at 10:00am for a Novel Idea San Antonio Bike Share eBike ride, led by Blue Star Contemporary Art Museum. This ride will introduce you to the beauty of the Riverwalk between the Blue Star Arts Complex and the King William neighborhood before leading you to the historic heart of our city.
MEET at the San Antonio Bike Share docking station at The Flats at Big Tex at 10am. Parking is available at Brackenridge High School on Eagleland. Wheels down at 10:15am sharp. ••••••••••••••••• RSVP is required to save one of the available 20 spots. The cost to join this ride is only $8 and allows you access to the San Antonio Bike Share docking station for 24 hours!

1. San Antonio Art League & Museum
The San Antonio Art League & Museum in the King William Cultural Arts District. Founded in 1912, the San Antonio Art League & Museum welcomes you to its home in the beautiful historic King William Cultural Arts District. On this stop you will enjoy their 16th Annual Collegiate Exhibition showcasing outstanding student work form area colleges & universities. Among the schools represented are Trinity University, St. Mary's University, UTSA - The University of Texas at San Antonio, and University of the Incarnate Word.
2. “Adam” by Arturo Herrera
Abstract mural titled “Adam,” by Arturo Herrera above Bill Millers next to Main Plaza. Arturo Herrera may reside in Berlin, Germany, but his work is featured in the heart of San Antonio and in the Blue Star Contemporary Art Museum exhibition “Novel Ideas”. On this eBike adventure Blue Star Contemporary Art Museum will explain the images you see in the vivid splashes of red.
3. Compass Rose Mosaic
The Compass Rose Mosaic on the Riverwalk next to Main Plaza. This mosaic was created by Blue Star Contemporary Art Museum MOSAIC program alumni and is located directly on axis with San Fernando Cathedral is considered to be the historic heart of the city.
4. NOVEL IDEAS ART BOOK FAIR
Blue Star Contemporary Art Museum Novel Ideas Art Book Fair. This two-day art book fair features artists’ books, monographs, zines, printed ephemera, and more. Our Blue Star Contemporary Art Museum tour guide will provide a short narrative on the art and then allow you to explore their Novel Ideas Art Book Fair.
